The Stan Schaefer Award was established in 1966
in memory of a dedicated Rotarian who was also
deeply involved in many other local activities.
The award recognizes area residents who, like
Stan, make sustained, voluntary contributions to
the well being of their community.

Northeast Westchester Rotary Club:

  • Is a Charter Member/Sponsor of the
    Northeast Westchester Community Center
  • Sponsors and holds the charter for both
    Katonah Cub Scout Pack One and
    Katonah Boy Scout Troop One
  • Awards annual scholarships to seniors
    graduating from John Jay and North Salem
    High Schools (last year we gave $7,500)
  • Assists in the annual Lewisboro Fall Fair
  • Raised over $10,000 last year for a water
    treatment plant in Honduras
  • Sells Christmas Trees each December
  • Hosts a Pancake Breakfast each Spring
  • Contributed $4,000 to the Rotary
    Foundation last year (ranking us as the
    highest per-member donor to the RI
    Foundation from District 7230)
